How to Choose the Right Conveyor

Our Drag Chain Conveyor, also known as Trough Chain Conveyor, Buried Scraper Conveyer or En Masse Conveyor, is a closed‑type continuous material handling equipment for powder, granular and small lump materials. As the scraper chain is buried inside the material bed during operation, it is also widely named Scraper Conveyor across global industries.

Inside the sealed casing, the moving scraper chain pushes bulk materials to achieve stable continuous transportation. For horizontal conveying, bulk materials receive thrust from the running scraper chain and move forward as an integrated material flow without material segregation.

This heavy‑duty Chain Conveyor fits diverse bulk solids, widely applied for cement, coal, grain, fertilizer, soda ash, metallurgy, building materials, power plant, mining and food processing industries. It handles abrasive, dusty and fine bulk materials perfectly for waste‑to‑energy, biomass and ash‑handling projects.

    > You can also email us or contact us via WhatsApp. Our engineers will get back to you within 24 hours.

Q2: What is the difference between screw conveyors and chain conveyors? Which one should I choose?

    > Both types have different applications:

    > – Screw Conveyors: Best for powdery and small-grain materials (e.g., fly ash, cement powder). Good sealing performance, simple structure, low maintenance cost.

    > – Chain Scraper Conveyors: Best for bulky, highly abrasive materials (e.g., bottom ash, municipal solid waste, biomass fragments). Supports multiple inlet and outlet points.

    > – Bucket Elevators: Ideal for vertical or steep-incline material lifting.

    > If you are not sure, tell us your material and working conditions, and our engineers will help you choose.

Q3: Can your equipment handle high-temperature materials? What is the maximum temperature?

    > We can customize equipment according to material temperature:
