WHAT IS A SCREW CONVEYOR?
A mechanical screw conveyor is a transport or conveying system that can be used for an extensive range of bulk materials. Screw con-veyors are driven by a motor and operated according to the Archimedes screw principle. This means that the element being conveyed is moved by constantly rotating the screw shaft, which looks like a screw

What are the special features of a screw conveyor?

In contrast to pneumatic suction systems, screw conveyors are usually less expensive, quieter and, most importantly, suitable for shorter distances. The conveying distance can be quite steep (up to 30 degrees difference in altitude), but should be kept as straight as possible.
