Our Chain Conveyor, also named Scraper Chain Conveyor or Trough Type Drag Chain Conveyor, is a heavy-duty enclosed bulk material handling equipment designed for continuous transport of abrasive, dusty and high-wear bulk solids. This drag chain conveyor adopts a trough casing and circulating scraper chain as the traction component. Driven by the drive sprocket assembly, the scraper chain pushes materials forward inside the sealed trough, delivering materials to designated discharge points horizontally or at a small inclined angle.
This robust chain conveyor performs well under harsh working conditions. Its fully enclosed structure effectively suppresses dust escape and material spillage, helping plants meet environmental emission requirements. Wear-resistant liner options are available to extend service life when conveying highly abrasive media. Customised trough width, conveying length, chain material, drive arrangement and outlet positions can be tailored to match your process layout.
Widely used across waste-to-energy plants, cement factories, wastewater treatment facilities, mineral processing lines and pulp mills, our Scraper Chain Conveyor handles bottom ash, fly ash, clinker, grit, bark waste, wood shavings, pulp screen rejects and salt cake from pulp recovery boilers. As a reliable solution for ash and waste handling systems, this drag chain conveyor delivers stable long-running performance, low maintenance cost and easy access for routine inspection.
Our Chain Conveyor (Trough Type Drag Chain Conveyor) consists of drive unit, tension take-up assembly, scraper chain, trough casing, inlet and outlet chutes. The circulating scraper chain is the core traction part. When the gear motor drives the sprocket, the scraper chain circulates inside the trough and pushes abrasive bulk materials forward continuously. Materials are discharged at required outlets. This scraper chain conveyor achieves enclosed dust-free conveying for ash, slag and pulp mill rejects.
Our Chain Conveyor / Scraper Chain Conveyor serves multiple industries: ✅ Waste-to-energy plant: bottom ash & fly ash handling ✅ Cement plant: clinker, slag conveying ✅ Pulp & paper mill: recovery boiler ash, salt cake, bark waste, screen rejects ✅ Wastewater treatment plant: grit and sludge transport ✅ Mineral & biomass solid fuel handling

A Chain Conveyor, also called Scraper Chain Conveyor or Trough Type Drag Chain Conveyor, is enclosed bulk material handling equipment. It uses scraper chains to push abrasive materials inside the trough for horizontal or low-angle conveying. This drag chain conveyor is popular for ash, slag and pulp mill waste handling.
In pulp mills, our Scraper Chain Conveyor transports recovery boiler bottom ash, fly ash, salt cake, bark waste, wood shavings and screen rejects. This drag chain conveyor handles abrasive pulp waste and combustion residues in the alkali recovery and bark fuel system.
Our Chain Conveyor is suitable for abrasive bulk solids: bottom ash, fly ash, clinker, grit, bark waste, pulp rejects and salt cake. It is widely used for waste-to-energy, cement, pulp and water treatment bulk handling systems.
This chain conveyor features sealed trough design, dust containment, high wear resistance, stable running and easy maintenance. It can run continuously for long hours under harsh, high-abrasion industrial conditions.
Yes. We customise the Scraper Chain Conveyor according to your material property, conveying capacity, length, installation layout and wear requirement. We can adjust chain material, liner and drive configuration for your pulp mill or WtE project.
The drag chain conveyor (chain conveyor) is better for highly abrasive, large particle and contaminated materials such as slag, bark and pulp rejects. A screw conveyor is more fit for fine, less abrasive powder. Many bulk handling systems combine both types of conveying equipment.
We provide custom scraper chain conveyor solutions to match your project requirements. Send us your material data, required capacity and layout drawing, and we will prepare a technical proposal and quotation for your drag chain conveyor.
